  14. The original Gateway 2000 Telepath 14.4 modem was not the greatest but I 
  15. used one for about 2 years and it worked fine until my phone line took a
  16. lightening hit in July and killed the thing.

  18. The new Telepath 14.4 & 28.8 modem, which Gateway 2000 is currently 
  19. selling, is made by US Robotics. It a private lable (OEM) version of 
  20. the USR Sportster Vi. I think that is a good product and Gateway's
  21. price of $149, for the 28.8 model, is a lot less than the street price 
  22. of the USR Sprotster Vi.
